Supporting Our MLLs
This session focused on three essential supports for Multilingual Learners (MLLs). The session includes an experiential activity (learning in an unfamiliar language) and provides actionable strategies for teachers to increase student engagement and comprehension.
Making Learning Accessible
This session was similar to Supporting Our MLLs but geared towards high school staff with a focus on accessibility. This was presented during a faculty meeting and included opportunity for teachers to share their experiences while also planning on how to integrate supports moving forward.
Supporting Principals
A professional development session co-facilitated by district coaches for building administrators focused on distinguishing scaffolding from modification, identifying barriers to student access, and building coaching questions that push teachers toward intentional lesson planning.
